The fairies have gone mad. Their once quaint magic threatens all of Brighthelm. The golems they created to protect the villages are now tearing them apart.
Now the little forest town of Shaddis Horne, with its elemental college, is under siege. The fairies know that without this source of magic, Brighthelm’s chemists will be dealt a severe blow. They must be stopped.
Your Hawkguard soldiers have been sent to repel the fairies and their minions, inspire the villagers and keep Shaddis Horne standing until the siege is over. It won't be easy.
The Siege of Shaddis Horne is a co-operative resource gathering tower defence game for 1-4 players, with a smattering of push-your-luck dungeon crawling to boot.

The town of Shaddis Horne set up for play, with your squad of Hawkguards waiting ready in the town square.

The defence of Shaddis Horne awaits!

As soon as the game starts, the vicious fairy armies will start to swarm the roads leading into town, flanked by their scuttler and golem minions. You must hold them at bay.

Villagers will protect specific locations from attack, and each has their own special abilities you can use. They can even fight back against the various creatures.

Some of the game's many villagers you can recruit.

As you defeat the assorted creatures, you will earn influence (which you can spend to recruit villagers) and gems (which can be spent at the market for useful equipment).

As well as exploring town, your Hawkguards can also venture into the local mine to find materials, gems, villagers and rarities. But be careful, suffer too many wounds in this push-your-luck minigame and you must leave empty handed.

The mine's rarities. These are powerful items that can help turn the tide of battle.

Each turn you will resolve a siege card to see what hazards spawn, and to resolve any other effects, such as help coming through the day, suffering night time effects, or those of fell fairy magic.

Usually the game will end up looking like this - each of Shaddis Horne's roads swarming with monsters, your beloved town ablaze.

More mayhem.

The game comes with a small expansion, Nightmare. This adds new challenges should you defeat the siege.

The game also comes with some bonus cards: 2 new quests for The Crows of Coppershell Bay, and a brand new bird companion for Paupers' Ladder.
